Basic Control of an 8400 drive over Ethernet IP using RSLogix

 This application example illustrates the control of an 8400 drive over Ethernet IP using an RSLogix™ 5000 programmed PLC. A ControlLogix® L75 controller was used for the development of this application example and its export file is attached to this application note. This application cycles the drive between two moves: first a 60 second forward move at 1000 RPM with a 1 second acceleration and a 5 second deceleration, and then a second move for 30 seconds at 1500 RPM in the reverse direction with a 5 second acceleration and a 1 second deceleration.
