i750 Advanced Safety: New device variant with 'FailSafe over EtherCAT' (FSoE) safety function (from V01.02.00)

Function-extension:

The device variant i750 "Advanced Safety" is a new addition to the i750 device family and now stands alongside the existing device variants "i750 Basic Safety" and "i750 Extended Safety" are available.

In contrast to i750 Basic Safety, with i750 Advanced Safety the Safe Torque Off (STO) function is controlled by communication via the safety bus (FSoE) and not via input terminals.
The STO terminals therefore do not need to be connected, which results in an advantage in terms of wiring effort.

The i750 Advanced Safety device variant contains additional safety functions that are controlled via FSoE:

  • Safe Torque Off (STO)
  • Safe Stop 1 (SS1)
  • Safe Brake Control (SBC)
  • Muting (MUT)
  • Safe parameterization

Included in the following products:
Servo inverter i750 AS:  from V01.02.00

Application:

The device variant i750 Advanced Safety is used for applications with included safety controller with EtherCAT safety bus (FSoE).
