Actual speed filter: The factory setting of the associated filter time constant (0x2904) is now adjusted depending on the motor size. The values vary between 0.3 ms for smaller motor types and up to 4.0 ms for larger motors.
Background:
Usually, the filter time constant is based on the quality of the position feedback system. As large motors naturally require large speed controller gains to be set, the positioning movements of the speed controller are correspondingly large. Even the normal "position noise" makes the control loop appear very restless and loud. For this reason, the filter time constant is now set higher for larger motors, aligned with the ramp-up time of the motor.
