Oscilloscope: With pre-trigger (negative value) triggering is armed with a delay (corrected from V01.05.02)
Corrected from:
Servo-Inverter i950 FW: from V01.05.02.1788
Response of the new version:
The oscilloscope function now also works as expected when negative delay percentages are set (pre-trigger).
What happens?
The triggering of the oscilloscope function is erroneously "armed" only after the set delay time (Pre-Trigger) has expired.
Although the oscilloscope records values after the start, trigger events within this time period are not evaluated. There is no triggering and accordingly no recording is uploaded in the engineering tool. The time span in which trigger events are not evaluated increases proportionally to the set time base.
Example:
- Time base: 20 ms/div, resulting recording duration: 200 ms. - Delay (pre-trigger): -50 %, resulting delay time: 100 ms
When does the behaviour occur?
Oscilloscope function: The "delay" (Pre-Trigger) is set to a negative percentage value.
Which products are affected? Servo Inverter i950 FW
Short-term measures / evaluation / recommendations: Negative pre-trigger values are required to record signal characteristics before an event. Under the following conditions, the pre-trigger function can be used despite the described functional limitation: - set the delay (pre-trigger) as small as possible and - start the oscilloscope recording far enough before the trigger event occurs.
