Nominal brake voltage 180V/250V: Possibility of using the digital output DO1 for brake control via an external brake module (from V01.02.03)

Functional extension:
The Bbrake output on the i950 is intended for controlling holding brakes with a nominal voltage of 24V.
For brakes with higher coil voltage there is now the option of outputting the brake control signal via a digital output DO1 and using it to switch an external brake module, which in turn controls the brake .

The brake parameter 0x2820:023 was extended by a selection for this purpose:

  • Config. Output signal 0x2820:023 = [2] 'External component on digital output'
Note:
Digital output 1 on the i950 can be used for various functions, so the following parameters must be set in a certain way in order to use digital output DO1 as a brake output:
  • Konfig. Output signal:        0x2820:023 = [2] 'External component at digital output'
  • Function digital output 1:  0x2634:002 = [115] 'Release holding brake'
  • brake mode:                    0x2820:001 = [0] or [1]  (Applies to both brake modes)
  • Select digital output 1:   0x5020:030 = [xxx]  (setting has no influence)
Included in which products?
Servo-Inverter i950 FW:  from  V01.02.03
Application:
Use of brakes with higher coil voltages, e.g.e.g.: 180V/205V brakes.
