PLI: Parameterization with enabled controller leads to error message 0xFF04 (motor moved too much) (corrected from V02.14.07)

Corrected from:
Servo-Inverter i700, V1:   no change planned for V1
Servo-Inverter i700, V2:   from V02.14.07.12648

Response of the new version:
The re-parameterization of the PLI mode (0x2C63:1) during operation or the reactivation of the PLI is now rejected.
Therefore the described behaviour does not occur any more.

What happens?
Pollage identification (PLI) at standstill (0x2825=7):
Erroneously, the error message 0xFF04 (motor moved too much) occurs if the PLI mode (0x2C63:1) is reparameterized while the motor is rotating (controller enabled).

When does the behaviour occur?
  • operation of a synchronous motor (SM) and
  • Pollage identification (PLI) at standstill (0x2825=7) and
  • PLI mode 0x2C63:1=[1] (only once for controller enable after power-on) and
  • when the motor is rotating (controller enabled), change the PLI mode setting from 0x2C63:1=[2] to 0x2C63:1=[2].
Which products are affected?
Servo Inverter i700, V1
Servo Inverter i700, V2

Short-term measures / evaluation / recommendations:
If the PLI mode (0x2C63:1) is reparameterized with the controller disabled, the described behavior will not occur.
In practice, the PLI mode is also only set once during initial commissioning and remains unchanged afterwards.
