No change intended, because the longer duration of the connection establishment occurs as a result of the intended upload of the device description file.
What happens?
Connection establishment between EASY-Starter and i950 takes up to 90 seconds, depending on the communication path used. The following typical times were measured for the communication path "Ethernet - EtherCAT via Lenze controller", or "Ethernet - EtherCAT via Beckhoff controller":
EtherCAT-Modul (fieldbus): approx 90s
EtherCAT onboard: approx 30s
The reason for this is that when using a user TA (technology application), the EASY starter first uploads the device description file. This is an intended behavior to ensure that the appropriate device description is used.
When does the behaviour occur?
The behaviour only occurs under the following conditions:
i950 configured with User-TA and
after loading the boot application into the i950 and powering up (booting)

Short-term measures/Evaluation/Recommendations:
If necessary, use the Engineering Port to connect the i950 to the Easy Starter.
