Response of the new version:
If an EtherCAT ESC-EX slave bridge is configured on the EtherCAT master, communication between the PLC Designer and the controller no longer stops after downloading a project.
What happens?
After downloading a project, communication between the PLC Designer and the controller stops. The downloaded PLC project is not processed by the controller. The controller has to be switched off and on again to reestablish a connection between PLC Designer and controller.
When does this behaviour occur?
The above-described behaviour occurs when downloading a PLC project to the c300 controller or the p300 panel controller in which the EtherCAT ESC-EX slave bridge is configured on the EtherCAT master.

Short-term measures:
Only use the EtherCAT slave bridge together with the 3200 C or the p500 controllers.
Evaluation/recommendations:
The EtherCAT slave bridge can, for instance, be used to network two independent EtherCAT networks with each other to ensure mutual communication. Due to the above function restriction, the EtherCAT slave bridge cannot be used on the EtherCAT master of the c300 and p300 controllers. The function restriction does not affect the 3200 C and the p500 controllers.
