Holding brake logic with torque feedforward control inside drive controller i700 (from V1.9.3)

Function extension:
The internal brake functionality of the i700 for triggering a holding brake connected to the i700 axis module has been improved and extended.
Now, torque feedforward control can be generated for hoist applications (active loads).
In this way, the load can be transferred without jerk when the brake is opened.

Contained in which products?
- i700 servo inverter  from V01.09.03.10964

Application:

The internal brake logic of the i700 is particularly designed for holding brake applications in which third-party controllers are used.
When using a Lenze controller-based system (Lenze controller and FAST Motion software), it can be choosen between:

  • Using the brake functionality of the motion axis in the controller (recommended):
Select the brake parameters of the motion axis via the dialogs in the engineering tool.
  • Not using the internal brake logic of the i700:
In Lenze setting, the internal brake logic of the i700 is deactivated (0x2820:1=1 Triggering via control word from ext. controller)
