EtherCAT: Changed second station address is not accepted after restarting the i700 via device command 0x2022=1100 (corrected from V2.10.12)
Corrected from: i700 servo inverter, series devices (V02.x): from V02.10.12.11906
existing devices (V01.x): from V01.10.12.11905
Response of the new version:
The second station address will be restored even after a controller reset via the device command index 0x2022=1100.
What happens?
After a reset of the drive controller via the device command 0x2022=1100, the EtherCAT second station address is not accepted. Instead, the address resulting from the physical bus position is active after mains switching. As a result, the controller will usually no longer be able to start the system because required nodes are no longer at the addresses provided for them or addresses have been assigned twice.
When does this behaviour occur?
- The behaviour occurs when using the device command 0x2022=1100 to restart the device and
- using the EtherCAT second station address.
This is usually the case in systems with optional nodes.
Which products are affected? i700 servo inverter
Short-term measures:
Select the addresses in accordance with the order of the EtherCAT cabling (bus position).
