Corrected from:
Inverter Drives 8400 TopLine from firmware version 14.00.00.00
Response of the new version?
The reconstruction for resolvers with a number of pole pairs >1 is executed according to the principle of reconstruction with incremental encoders. This means that the actual position available before mains disconnection is accepted at power-on without taking a displacement of the resolver into consideration.
If a displacement cannot be ruled out, the drive has to be re-referenced after mains switch-off/switch-on.
Which products are affected?
Inverter Drives 8400 TopLine with a firmware version lower than 14.00.00.00
What happens?
The reference is set to the "Reference known" status after mains switch-off/switch-on, however, the actual position reconstructed is incorrect. An absolute positioning process with a reference basis results in the approach of an incorrect target position.
When does the problem occur?
The error can be detected when the MCTRL_actual position is to be reconstructed (C2652 bit 0 = TRUE) and a resolver with a number of pole pairs >1 is set for the position feedback.
Short-term measures/recommendations?
After every mains switching the drive must be referenced again.
Evaluation:
The reconstruction of the measuring system is incorrect after mains switching. This causes an offset of the SW limit positions.
