Functional description
The procedure for the interpretation of linear encoder systems, which is known for SSI encoders, can now also be applied to all usable encoder types at the MultiEncoder interface.
Example:
Wire-actuated encoders with a 5m wire and 128 SinCos increments, 1.1953mm for each SinCos period,
i.e. 128 SinCos periods correspond to a wire stretch of 153mm.
In the data sheet of the encoder, the information with regard to the Hiperface track is missing; however, the following data have been determined by measurement:
4096 Hiperface increments correspond to a wire stretch of 153mm or 128 SinCos increments; at a wire stretch of 5m, 4184 Hiperface "revolutions" are required to represent the complete wire length.
Therefore the following data have to be parameterised:
C420/3 Number of increments 128
C494/1 Hiperface: number of revolution 4184
C494/2 Hiperface: increments per revolution 4096
C1110 LS_MultiEncoder: material measure 1: linear in unipolar mode
