L_MC2P - MC_GearIn: Incorrect clutch-in of slave, clutch-in may not be possible (corrected from V3.12.0)

Corrected from:
- Library: L_MC2P_MotionControlCam V03.12.00.35
(contained in PLC Designer V03.12.00.177 and higher)

Response of the new version:
The faulty behaviour has been corrected.

What happens?
When repeatedly activating the MC_GearIn FB (Execute edge), clutch-in is not always performed with the selected acceleration parameters, but with a speed and position step change.
After this, the 'InGear' output signal will not be set.

When does this behaviour occur?
  • The behaviour occurs if the 'Continuous Update' function has been used at least once and
  • MC_GearIn is requested again without changing the input parameters compared to the previous request.
Which products are affected?
- FAST Motion L_MC2P_MotionControlCam library - MC_GearIn FB
  (contained in the PLC Designer)

Short-term measures:
Before requesting the MC_GearIn FB again, change at least one input parameter (RationNumerator, RationDenominator, MastervalueSource, Acceleration, Deceleration or Jerk) compared to the previous request (see example interconnection).

Evaluation/recommendations:
The described behaviour can be avoided by means of the above-described remedy.
