What happens?
Unexpected occurrence of the 'HipComFaultSpeedTooHigh' error message (error number: 0x7381) .
When does this behaviour occur?
When selecting the Hiperface SinCos absolute value encoder as feedback system (0x2C40 = 2) and enabling the controller immediately, controller enable will be postponed until the encoder has been read out, however, no longer than for 2 seconds. Since a change of the type code will trigger another reading process, it may happen that controller enable is already effective, but the second reading process will force position setting. Since the current speed is monitored for position setting, the above error will be activated.

Short-term measures:
Only enable the controller after a waiting time of approx. 300 ms, if the Hiperface encoder settings have been changed.
Evaluation/recommendations:
In general, the Hiperface encoder settings are only changed during commissioning. Therefore, the above problem will not occur during normal operation.
