L_SMC_FastOutput: Successive switching edges of less than 2ms are not possible (corrected from V3.9.0)

Corrected from:
- PLC Designer  as of V03.09.00

Response of the new version:
Now, up to 8 switching edges can be output in a PLC cycle via the 'L_SMC_FastOutput' function block and the 'FastOutput module' (EPM-S310).

What happens?
The 'L_SMC_FastOutput' function block can be used to generate position-dependent switching edges at the EPM-S310 (FastOutput module).
If several instances of this FB are used, a minimum edge distance of 25µs should be possible. Under certain conditions, the minimum edge distance cannot be reached.
The minimum edge distance that can be achieved is 2 PLC cycles.
Example: With a PLC cycle time of 1ms, the minimum achievable edge distance is 2ms.

When does this behaviour occur?
The behaviour occurs if switching edges generated via the 'L_SMC_FastOutput' FB are closer to each other than 2 PLC cycles.

Which products are affected?
- PLC Designer
- EPM-S310 (FastOutput module) on the backplane bus of the Lenze controller.

Short-term measures:
If several FastOutput modules (EPM-S310) are operated in parallel on the backplane bus, shorter edge distances will be possible (workaround).

Evaluation/recommendations:

None.
