Corrected from:
- i700 servo inverter V01.09.03.
Response of the new version:
After restarting a device connected to the EtherCAT bus, synchronisation to the EtherCAT bus will be effected correctly even with cycle times of 10 ms.
What happens?
After restarting a device connected to the EtherCAT bus, a problem occurs when synchronising to the EtherCAT bus. The problem can only be removed by switching the mains for the controller.
When does this behaviour occur?
- EtherCAT network with cycle times of 10 ms,
- during synchronisation after mains switching,
- sporadically, in one of 1000 cases.
Which products are affected?
- i700 servo inverter
Short-term measures:
1. Switch off and on controller or restart the controller via the object 0x2022:0 = 1100 (Restart Device) in the PreOp mode of the EtherCAT bus.
2. Then, properly boot the EtherCAT bus.
Evaluation/recommendations:
If possible, reduce the cycle time of the EtherCAT bus.
This considerably reduces the probability of occurrence.
