Acceleration in the case of a position-controlled QSP with an initial following error

Corrected from:
  • Inverter Drives 8400 HighLine V16.00.00
  • Inverter Drives 8400 TopLine V16.00.00

Response to the new version:
The function restriction has been resolved.

Which products are affected?
8400HighLine and TopLine: FW version ≤ 15.00.00.00

What is the response?
In the case of a quick stop process, the drive accelerates unexpectedly.

When does the problem occur?
If the position control for the quick stop process is activated (setting quick stop C104=2+3), even a following error that has been pending when quick stop was entered is eliminated.

Diagnostics options?
Recording of the following error, the setpoint speed, and the 'QSP active' status by means of the Engineer oscilloscope or PCAN.

Short-term measures/recommendations?
The position control should only be activated for standstill during an active quick stop, and not for the movement during the process.

Evaluation:
In practice, the position control is typically not activated for the movement during the process, but only for standstill.
By eliminating the following error, the quick stop takes longer than expected, and a greater distance than expected is covered.
