Hiperface sin/cos absolute value encoder and sin/cos encoder - newly implemented (from V1.3.8)

Function extension:
Now, in addition to the resolver, the following feedback systems can be evaluated by the i700 servo inverter:

  • Hiperface sin/cos absolute value encoder
  • Sin/cos encoder with zero track

Required hardware: i700 encoder variant with connection (X8) for sin/cos encoder.

Touch probe function:
If a sin/cos encoder with zero track is used it is possible not to select the digital input terminals of the i700 (DI1 or DI2), but the zero track (zero pulse) as touch probe source.

Internal state machine:
For using a Hiperface sin/cos absolute value encoder, the timing of the internal state machine has been adapted to the Hiperface communication requirements with the encoder during the switch-on phase. After initialisation has been completed, the controller only changes from the 'SwitchedOn' to the 'OperationEnabled' state if the control in the i700 receives valid values from the encoder. Error messages due to invalid data transferred to the higher-level controller are thus avoided.

Contained in which products?
- i700 servo inverter from V01.03.08.9047

Application:
Applications in which a Hiperface sin/cos absolute value encoder or a sin/cos encoder is used instead of a resolver. For instance to ensure that no homing run must be executed after power-on or due to increased requirements on accuracy and dynamic drive response.
