System bus interface in ¨Warning¨ status after switch-on (eliminated from V8.5)

Eliminated from:
EPL-10200 (Drive PLC V8.5)

Behaviour of the new version:
The 'Warning' status is not indicated before the time set in code C0356/1 (boot up time) has expired.

Which products are affected?
EPL-10200 (Drive PLC V8.0…V8.4)

What happens?
The system bus interface changes to the CAN status 'Warning' shortly after the Drive PLC has been switched on.

When does the problem occur?
The behaviour described before may occur if the Drive PLC does not detect further stations at the system bus.

From Drive PLC V8.0 onwards the Drive PLC sends a boot up telegram after switch-on and initialisation.  As long as there is no additional station connected to the system bus the Drive PLC repeats this boot up telegram.  An error counter is created during this process. If the error counter reaches a certain error limit the system bus interface of the Drive PLC changes to the 'Warning' status and stops transmitting further telegrams.  As soon as several stations are communicating at the system bus the error counter is decremented again and the system bus status 'Warning' is left again.

Possible diagnostics?
Display of the CAN status in code C0359 via the keypad for instance.

Short-term measures/recommendations?
The CAN status 'Warning' can be ignored during initialisation.

Evaluation:
If there are no stations connected to the system bus the system bus interface of the Drive PLC changes to the 'Warning' status. As soon as additional stations communicate at the bus the status is left again.
