Analog input (AIN1) - Sign reversal on exceeding 12 V (eliminated as of OPERATING SYSTEM V8.3)

Eliminated as of:
ECS Application OPERATING SYSTEM  as of V8.3

Behaviour of the new version?
Analog input 1 (AIN1) now also works correctly at signal voltages above 12 V.

Which products are affected?
ECS Application OPERATING SYSTEM <= V8.0

What happens?
The sign of the input signal in the controller changes suddenly from +100% to -100%, for example.

When does the problem occur?
If a voltage above 12 V is applied at the analog input.

Diagnostics options?
A sudden sign reversal occurs if the signal voltage at the analog input rises above 12 V.

Short-term measures/recommendations?
Set up the hardware component used so that a voltage range of +/-10 V is maintained for analog setpoint signals.

Evaluation:
In applications, the occurrence of a setpoint step-change can lead to unexpected drive movements.
The analog input is actually only intended for signal voltages of +/- 10 V. Signal voltages outside this range should not be encountered. Voltage sources for analog +/-10 V setpoint signals are usually also limited to +/-10 V.
