Which products are affected?
EPM-S110 with software version 01
What happens?
If the electronic components connect to the CANopen bus coupler EPM-S110 are purely digital ones, the I/O system cannot be set to the operational state after saving and subsequent switching off and on again.
In case of NMT '000h 01 xx' the I/O transmits the following telegram:
'082h 00 00 81 00 00 00 00 00'
The function restriction cannot be understood as soon as at least one analog I/O module is included in the I/O system.
If the I/O is reset to default setting via the 'Restore' function, the I/O can be set to the operational state
Possible diagnostics?
Check the CAN bus for the telegram mentioned above (e. g. by using the PCAN Explorer)
Short-term measures/recommendations?
a) Extend the I/O system by an analog I/O module
b) Do not use the saving function and operate the I/O in default setting.
Note: Do not assign individual identifiers via Engineer and use the default settings.
c) The function restriction cannot be detected if a PLC is used since the PLC re-parameterises the I/O whenever being restarted. Moreover, the settings are not saved in the I/O.
d) If the Tx PDOs 1 data is to be sent in a time-controlled way, the Lenze CAN system bus is to be selected as COBID source (index 2101h) (corresponds to the value 1, in the next Service Pack a corresponding test list will be provided). This value remains unchanged without saving and therefore the first TxPDO after starting is transmitted with a cycle time of 100 ms.
