Question:
Does the detected/displayed motor temperature also have an influence on the motor control when the error responses for OH3, OH7, and SD6 are set OFF, or when no KTY temperature sensor is connected at X7 or X8?
Answer:
Yes, it does. With the 9300 series, this is not the case, but with the ECS it is.
Even when the error responses of the motor temperature monitoring (OH3 and OH7) are set OFF, the motor temperature detected via the KTY temperature sensor at X7 or X8 will be used to adapt the parameters of the motor model and thus will affect the motor control.
This will also be the case, independently of the error response setting for the KTY sensor monitoring (SD6).
If a motor without KTY temperature sensor (e. g. an external motor) is to be operated at the ECS, the motor model can be optimised as follows. Through a corresponding configuration, the motor temperature indicated under C0063 when no KTY is available can be set to a fixed value:
- C1190 = 1: Select application-specific characteristic
- Select the same temperature under C1191/1 and C1191/2 (temperature points T1 and T2 of the KTY characteristic).
- The Lenze setting under C1192/1 and C1192/2 need not be changed.
It is useful to set the motor temperature in the warm status because the motor model will be adapted accordingly.
