Table positioning - Torque surge during reference run (remedied from V4.0 onwards)

Remedied from:
8400 HighLine   SW V4.00 onwards

Behaviour of the new version?
The above-named software version rectifies this functional restriction.

Which products are affected?
8400 HighLine   SW ≤ V2.01

What happens?
If a following error occurs during referencing when the reference point is being detected, the speed setpoint increases suddenly. This is noticeable in the form of a torque surge at the motor shaft.

When does the problem occur?
The problem occurs if a following error occurs when the reference point is being detected.

Possible diagnostics?
Observation of the following error (L-C01210/4) when the reference point is passed. If the speed control circuit is substantially reinforced, a noticeable torque surge is visible at the motor shaft.

Short-term measures/recommendations?
Through optimisation of the referencing profile (ramps with lower dynamic response) or adaptation of the gain factor of the position or speed controller in order to reduce the following error during referencing.

Evaluation:
This behaviour is usually noticed during commissioning and can be rectified in accordance with the recommendations.
