Remedied from:
8400 StateLine SW V3.00 onwards
8400 HighLine SW V2.00 onwards
Behaviour of the new version?
The above-named software version rectifies this functional restriction.
Which products are affected?
8400 StateLine SW ≤ V2.00
8400 HighLine SW ≤ V1.00
What happens?
If e.g. a control (Master) sends several NMT telegrams to different CAN nodes in very short intervals in order to change the state of every node from 'Pre-Operational' to 'Operational' and less than 2ms passes between the NMT telegrams it may happen that the frequency inverter does not respond to these NMT telegrams and therefore not changes to the 'Operational' state.
When does the problem occur?
The problem occurs if e.g. the nodes are changed to the 'Operational' state by means of NMT telegrams. In contrast to a broadcast telegram many NMT telegrams are sent to the bus.
Possible diagnostics?
Code L-C00359 does not indicate 'Operational' after the NMT telegram has been sent.
A process data communication cannot be established after the initialisation phase of the CAN bus.
Short-term measures/recommendations?
Set shorter waiting times between the transmission cycles of the NMT telegram or broadcast telegram in order to change the node state from 'Pre-Operational' to 'Operational'.
Evaluation:
This behaviour usually occurs during commissioning and can be eliminated by applying the recommendations mentioned before.
