Updating the AIF1_wDctrlStat system variable

Which products are affected?
EVS93xx-EI (Servo PLC V7.2 and lower)
EVS93xx-ET (Servo PLC with technology units V7.2 and lower)
EPL-10200 (Drive PLC V8.2 and lower)
ECS Application B-SW  <= V8.0

What happens?
The AIF1_wDctrlStat system variable (AIF1_IO_AutomationInterface system block) has the same value as the DCTRL_wStat system variable (DCTRL_DriveControl system block) although there is no corresponding assignment in the PLC program.

When does the problem occur?
If there is no process image generated for the outputs of the AIF1_IO_AutomationInterface system block the PLC target system copies automatically every 10ms the value of the DCTRL_wStat system variable into the AIF1_wDctrlStat system variable after the program download.

Possible diagnostics?
Check in the process image generation dialog (tab: Resources > Process image) if a process image is generated for the outputs of the AIF1_IO_AutomationInterface system block.

Short-term measures/recommendations?
Assign the AIF1_wDctrlStat system variable in the PLC program the value which is to be sent by the AIF module.

Evaluation:
After the program download an AIF module attached to the target system transmits unexpectedly the drive status word in the first word of the telegram. The function restriction can be avoided by applying the measure described before.
