Which products are affected? Safety module SM100 VC
Function description The connector at the SM100 has been revised. The insertion forces have been increased so that the connector cannot loose itself by vibration that easily anymore. The contact spacing of the connector used now has been changed from 3.5 to 5 mm. Therefore, the connector on the machine side has to be exchanged when a SM100 is to be replaced. The installation of flexible cables with twin wire end ferrules has been simplified thanks to enlarging the diameter of the connector holes.
The designation of the connections has been changed according to the table below. As a result, the designation of the safe input is compatible with the SM30x. If necessary, the wiring diagrams of the control cabinet are to be adapted.
