Which products are affected?
9300ES servo controller V8.0
Eliminated function restrictions
The Touch Probe (TP) of the STORE2 function block now responds correctly again, regardless whether a code has been saved via C0003 = 1 or not and independent of low voltage (LU) occurring in the meantime.
Which products are affected?
9300ES servo controller V7.0 (this version only)
What happens?
The Touch Probe (TP) of the STORE2 function does not respond.
When does the problem occur?
Situation 1:
The problem occurs when a changed parameter has been saved under C0003.
Situation 2:
The problem occurs after appearance of low voltage (LU) when the terminal E4 input is used as TP input for the STORE2 function block and at the same time as signal source for STORE2-ENTP (TP-Enable).
Possible diagnostics?
STORE2 no longer saves the TP position if one of the situations mentioned above occurs.
Short-term measures/recommendations?
Situation 1:
Carry out a 'RESET' at STORE2. Afterwards, the function will be working again.
Situation 2:
Link the STORE2-RESET input with the FB MOINT-LU via an FB TRANS. Activate the rising edge C0710 = 0 in the FB TRANS if the pulse time is C0711 = 1.000s. As a result, the touch probe evaluation will be reactivated after a low voltage message (LU).
Evaluation:
The touch probe function of the STORE2 function block does not work in the situations described. Apart from that unexpected drive movements do not occur.
Normally the use of the E4 input as described under situation 2 cannot be applied in practice since it does not seem to make sense to use the TP sensor itself for enabling its own evaluation.
