Display bit of the CANaux state ¨BusOff¨ cannot be reset (remedied from B-SW V8.0)

Remedied from:
ECS axis module V8.0

Behaviour of new version?
The CANaux_bCe4BusOffState_b system variable of the CANaux_Management system block is only set to TRUE if the onboard system bus interface X14 (CANaux) is in the BusOff state.

Which products are affected?
ECS axis module V7.4

What happens?
The CANaux_bCe4BusOffState_b system variable of the CANaux_Management system block is set to TRUE although the onboard system bus interface X14 (CANaux) is not in the BusOff state.

When does the problem occur?
The CANaux_bCe4BusOffState_b system variable becomes TRUE if the onboard system bus interface X14 is in the BusOff state. However, if the state of this interface changes to Pre-Operational or Operational after a ResetNode has been executed (e.g. by setting C2458 = 1) the system variable still remains set to TRUE. The system variable will only be reset by mains switching.

Possible diagnostics?
The CANaux_byState system variable of the CANaux_Management system block indicates the state of the system bus interface X14 (CANaux). If the value of this variable is unequal to 3 the interface is not in the BusOff state.

Short-term measures/recommendations?
Use the CANaux_byState system variable of the CANaux_Management system block in order to evaluate the state of the system bus interface X14.

Evaluation:
The CANaux_bCe4BusOffState_b system variable indicates if the onboard system bus interface X14 (CANaux) is in the BusOff state. The system variable can only be reset by mains switching. The BusOff state is an error state in case of which a communication via system bus interface is no longer possible. In many cases the error state can be reset by carrying out mains switching of the PLC target system.
