Data of the sync telegram too long (elimination)

Remedied from:
ECS axis module V8.0
EVS93xx-EI (Servo PLC V8.0)
EVS93xx-ET (Servo PLC V8.0 with technology function)

Not yet eliminated from EPL-10200 (Drive PLC)

Behaviour of new version?
The PLC target system always sends a sync telegram with a data length of 0 byte.

Which products are affected?
EPL-10200 (Drive PLC V7.1 and lower)
EVS93xxEI (Servo PLC V7.2 and lower)
EVS93xxET (Servo PLC with technology function V7.2 and lower)
ECS axis module V7.4 and lower

What happens?
The PLC target system sends sync telegrams with a data length of eight bytes instead of 0 byte.

When does the problem occur?
The response described before occurs if after switching on the PLC target system neither a Reset-Node nor a Reset-Communication has been executed and the cyclic sending of the sync telegram is activated (C0369 > 0 and C0359 = 0: Operational).

Possible diagnostics?
The sync telegrams can be observed by means of a CAN analyzer, e. g. PCAN View.

Short-term measures/recommendations?
Carry out a Reset-Node, e. g. by setting code C0358 to 1 or via mains switching.

Evaluation:
The data length of the sync telegrams sent by the PLC target system is not correct. This function restriction only occurs if the cyclic sending of the sync telegram is activated. After mains switching the data length of the sync telegram is correct.
