ProfileEnable is sporadically not executed when the brake logic is active (remedied from V1.3 onwards)
Remedied from:
ECSxP Posi&Shaft V1.3 onwards
Eliminated function restriction
The rising edge at ProfileEnable in order to start the positioning profile is now always detected and executed reliably, irrespective of a simultaneously possibly occurring controller inhibit ((CINH-intern 1) activated by the automatic brake logic.
If both signal occur at the same time (inside the same controller cycle) the profile start is now executed at first by means of ProfileEnable = 1. The brake logic initiates the re-enabling and release of the brake.
Which products are affected?
ECSxP Posi&Shaft <=V1.2
What happens?
The positioning profile selected is sporadically not processed after a start signal (edge at ProfileEnable).
When does the problem occur?
The problem occurs sporadically if the automatic brake control (brake logic) is activated. The start signal (ProfileEnable edge) is ignored if it coincides with the edge of a controller inhibit signal (CINH-intern 1) controlled by the brake logic within the same processing cycle.
Possible diagnostics?
Status displays for the positioning profiles.
Short-term measures/recommendations?
The setting of the speed threshold for the brake logic (C4023) and the closing time of the motor holding brake (C4021) determine the instant for setting the controller inhibit by means of the brake logic decisively.
Dependent on the application it can therefore be avoided that thanks to a corresponding timing a controller inhibit and start of a profile cannot occur at the same time.
Evaluation:
The impact of the behaviour described before is not critical since the drive is only stopped and not started. However, if the problem occurs the remedial measures as described before are available.
