Manual control (manual jog) and behaviour of the InTarget status signal (Stat1.InTarget) (remedied from V1.3 onwards)

Remedied from:
ECSxP Posi&Shaft V1.3 onwards

Behaviour of the new version?
Whenever the manual control (manual jog) function is used the 'Stat1.InTarget' status bit is now set/reset correctly.

Resetting 'InTarget' after the manual control has been started:
'InTarget' is reset approx. 50 ms after the manual control has been started (Stat1.InTaget = 0).
Exception: According to definition 'InTarget' is not reset if the distance to the software limit position in direction of movement is smaller than the set target position window (C3034) while the software limit positions (C3040, C3041 does not equal 0) are activated when the manual control is started.

Setting 'InTarget' after the manual control has been completed:
Even if the set speed has become zero through the corresponding ramp the 'InTarget' status bit is set (Stat1.InTarget = 1) when the manual control has been completed (Ctrl1.JogCW = 0 and Ctrl1.JogCCW = 0).
Exception: According to definition 'InTarget' is not set if the manual mode has been stopped by QSP or controller inhibit (CINH).

Which products are affected?
ECSxP Posi&Shaft <=V1.2

What happens?
Case 1: Home position known (Stat1.HomePosAvailable = 1) and software limit positions active (C3040, C3041 unequal to 0):
The 'Stat1.InTarget' status bit is regularly not set when the manual control has been stopped. 'In-Target' is only set if the manual control has been executed until one of the software limit position has been reached.

Case 2: Stat1.HomePosAvailable = 0 or software limit positions not active
The 'Stat1.InTarget' status bit is sporadically not set when the manual control has been completed. Instead this bit is erroneously only set when the manual control is restarted (Ctrl1.JogCW or Ctrl1.JogCCW).
When the manual control is started the 'Stat1.InTarget' status bit is only reset if the distance of the set target window (C3034) has been traversed.

When does the problem occur?
The problem occurs whenever the manual control mode is used. Regarding this, it must be taken into account that dependent on the condition if the home position is known (Stat1.HomePosAvailable = 1) or the software limit positions are active (C3040, C3041 unequal 0) a different behaviour occurs.

Possible diagnostics?
The 'Stat1.InTarget' status bit is sporadically not set when the manual control is completed.

Short-term measures/recommendations?
None inside the ECS controller.
If necessary the target reached message (InTarget) can be simulated in the higher-level control (PLC).

Evaluation:
The manual control function itself is not affected by the missing status signal.
