Traversing range limit switch or position limit value reached (failure P01, P02, P04, P05), retraction

Question:
How can the drive be removed to the traversing range (retraction) after the traversing range limit switch  'POS-LIM-NEG' or 'POS-LIM-POS' (hardware limit switch) or the position limit values C1223, C1224 (software limits) have been actuated?

Answer:

Manual operation:
  • Generally, in manual operation the drive can be removed to traversing range by means of the function manual positioning, even if a traversing range limit switch is still assigned.
  • This can also be applied when the software position-limits have been actuated.

Program operation:
  • In case of actuated traversing range limit switch retraction is only possible in manual operation (safety).
  • If the position-limits C1223, C1224 are exceeded, a reset to the traversing range is also possible in program operation, except in case of feedback by means of absolute value encoder.

Tipp:
The error messages for limit switches and position values (P01, P02, P04 und P05) can also be reset in program operation, however, if the limit switch is assigned, the error can happen again as soon as the drive moves.
We recommend to activate the manual operation (POS-MANUAL) before the error is reset.
