Which products are affected?
Function restriction on the 9300EP servo positioning controller as of versions V2.5 and V6.1.
Eliminated function restriction
If Touch Probe positioning has been interrupted by Prg-Stop, the TP was no longer initialised properly after continuation of TP positioning (Prg-Stop = Low) so it was not evaluated either.
Now TP positioning is also executed properly after Prg-Stop.
Possible diagnostics?
Interrupt TP positioning before the occurrence of TP by Prg-Stop. Then check whether there is a response to the TP.
Short-term measures/recommendations?
After Prg-Stop also perform a program reset in order to restart TP positioning again.
Evaluation:
The phenomenon only occurs if stopping is performed by Prg-Stop anyway so a program reset will be acceptable here. If not, change the firmware by means of a download.
