Master current input 4-20 mA, overflow at 40 mA

Which products are affected?

9300EP servo positioning controller version V2.1

What happens?

It was possible that the input value was inverted. Owing to this inversion there was a risk of positive feedback in the control circuit if, for example, the measuring signal of a tension measuring station was inverted.

When does the problem occur?

If the master current input 4…20 mA was subjected to an excessively high master current of 40mA.

Short-term measures/recommendations?

None, or do not set excessively high master current.

Evaluation:

A master current of 40 mA is well above the defined range of 4…20 mA and should therefore not be able to occur at the terminals.
