What happens?
If Touch Probe positioning has been interrupted by a controller inhibit or quick stop, the TP was no longer initialised properly after continuation of TP positioning (signal to Prg-Start) so it was not evaluated either.
When does the problem occur?
After continuation of a TP positioning (signal to Prg-Start) if it has been interrupted before by a controller inhibit or quick stop.
Possible diagnostics?
Interrupt TP positioning before occurrence of the TP by controller inhibit. Then check whether there is a response to the TP after repeated Prg-Start.
Short-term measures/recommendations?
After the interruption perform a program reset in order to restart TP positioning again.
Evaluation:
The phenomenon only occurs in the event of an interruption by CINH or QSP so a program reset will be acceptable here. If not, change the firmware by means of a download.
