Function description

The data of the VAR Persistent memory class are preserved after a program download with the Drive PLC Developer Studio (DDS).
The persistent variable area has a size of 32 bytes and can be linked via the Var_Persistent system block (DDS: resources control configuration).

Applications

The use of persistent variables is indispensable in some applications. In case of the CAM technology the persistent variable type serves for saving e.g. the 'homing' status when using absolute value encoders.
