Corrected from:
Cabinet Controller c520 V1.10
Cabinet Controller c550 V1.10
Response of the new version:
The EtherCAT device interface of the Lenze controller c520 or c550 accepts the set Second Station Address (SSA).
What happens?
The Second Station Address (SSA) is set in the EtherCAT device interface of the Lenze controller c520 or c550 but is not accepted.
When does the behaviour occur?
The behaviour described above can occur sporadically if
- the Second Station Address of the EtherCAT device interface is changed or
- if no EtherCAT device is configured in the PLC project.
Which products are affected?
Cabinet Controller c520 from V1.7
Cabinet Controller c550 from V1.7
Short-term measures:
Before downloading the PLC project, check that an 'EtherCAT Device' has been inserted and configured in the project.
Set the Second Station Address again in the EtherCAT Device interface. Repeat the process until the Second Station Address has been accepted by the interface.
Evaluation / recommendations:
The Second Station Address is used if the Lenze controller is to be operated as an optional device on an EtherCAT master (EtherCAT Device, Modular Machine Configuration (MMC)). The Second Station Address is typically set once during commissioning and automatically saved in a power-failure-proof manner. An application solution is described under Short-term measures.
