The Lenze controllers c520, c550 and c750 support the EtherCAT Device fieldbus module. The EtherCAT Device can exchange up to 2048 bytes of process data with a higher-level controller via various modules. The higher-level controller can be either a Lenze controller or a third-party controller.
The Lenze controller with EtherCAT device (cxxx EtherCAT slave) is installed in the device repository of the PLC Designer via the EASY Package Manager and can then be attached to the EtherCAT master of a Lenze controller in the PLC project.
In the case of third-party control, the ESI file of the Lenze controller with EtherCAT device must first be installed in the engineering tool of the third-party control.
