PROFINET diagnostic data is not reset properly in the hicorrected from V01.07.04)r-level PLC (

Corrected from:
Servo-Inverter i950 FW: from V01.07.04.2313

Response of the new version:
If an error present in the i950 is reset and the i950 is error-free, the diagnostic data in the higher-level PLC is now also reset accordingly.

What happens?
i950: In the event of a pending error message, diagnostic data is transmitted to the higher-level PLC via PROFINET after a power switch. The diagnostic data will remain pending in the PLC if the i950 is error-free after executing an error reset.

When does the behaviour occur?
  • Via the engineering software of the PLC (e.g. Siemens TIA Portal) the i950 is configured as device "i950 (diagnosis)" and
  • when the connection is established, the module parameter channel diagnostics is parameterised with the value "standard diagnostics".
Which products are affected?
Servo-Inverter i950 FW

Short-term measures / Evaluation / recommendations:
In the device configuration of the engineering software of the PLC, do not set "i950 (diagnosis)" as the device, but "i950", if it cannot be ensured that no error message is present immediately after switching on the i950.
