Easy-Starter, PLC-Designer: New query whether i²xt monitoring should be deactivated (from PLC-Designer V03.23.00, Easy-Starter V01.20.00)

Function extension:
In the factory setting of the servo inverters, the monitoring of the motor utilisation (i²xt) is actually set to activated (reaction = fault). However, when parameterising the motor data via the engineering tools (Easy-Starter, PLC-Designer), i²xt monitoring was automatically deactivated until now.
As of PLC-Designer V03.23.00 and Easy-Starter V01.20.00, the setting of the monitoring of the motor load (i²xt) is now queried when parameterising the motor data.
See version information for the engineering tools under Doc-ID:  202100128

Contained in which products?
The required function extension for the query is part of the engineering tools. The version details of the inverters given below only serve as an indication of the availability of the function extension in the tools:
Servo Inverter i950 FW: approx. from V01.05.03
Servo Inverter i700, V1, V2: approx. from V02.16.03

Application:

Dynamic applications in which both monitoring functions are to be activated for the motor:
  1. Monitoring of the motor temperature via the installed temperature sensors (PT1000, KTY, PTC,...) in the stator windings and
  2. Monitoring of the motor load (i²xt).
