PLC-Designer - Device Description V01.05: Safety process data (FSoE) cannot be inserted with i950 ES (fixed as of device description V01.06)

i950 Extended Safety base (0x4000 = 0), corresponding device description in PLC Designer  from V01.06

Response of the new version: 
The Safety Process Data i950 object can now be attached to the i950 ES as an EtherCAT slave, as expected.

 
What happens?
It is not possible to attach the Safety Process Data i950 (FSoE data) to an i950 Extended Safety as an EtherCAT slave. 
The object is not displayed in the selection list.
 
When does the behaviour occur? 
PLC-Designer: Use of the device description for the i950 ES base in version V01.05. (see screenshot below). 
 
Which products are affected?
i950 Extended Safety base (0x4000 = 0) Device description in PLC Designer: only device description V01.05 affected

Short-term measures / Evaluation/Recommendations

  • Inserting the i950 ES EtherCAT Slave first with version V01.04.02
  • Adding the Safety Process Data i950 (Add device)
  • Update the i950 ES EtherCAT Slave to V01.05.xx (Update device)
The described behaviour is to be regarded as a usability restriction that occurs during project creation or extension via the PLC Designer. 
A remedy is available with the described short-term measure.
