c5x0 / c750: After setting the Profinet IP address, the controller can no longer be reached via Ethernet (corrected from V1.5.0)

Corrected from:
Controller Firmware V01.05.00
(Update via Easy Package Manager)

Behavior of the new version:
The engineering access can still be used if the fieldbus module is in the same subnet as the engineering access.

What happens:
After assigning the IP address and the station name on the Profinet fieldbus module, communication via the engineering interface is no longer possible. All connections are interrupted and cannot be restored. A new assignment of the IP address of the engineering access via ip.txt does not allow the connection via this interface again. All connections are now routed via the fieldbus module.

What does the behaviour accur?
The behavior occurs when the Profinet network is in the same subnet as the engineering access.

Example:
  • The engineering access has the following settings:
    • Ip:          192.168.5.99
    • Subnet :  255.255.255.0
    • Gateway: 192.168.5.1
  • and the Profinet network, the following address is assigned via the TIA Portal or via the PLC Designer:
    • Ip:          192.168.5.22
    • Subnet:   255.255.255.0
    • Gateway: 192.168.5.22

Which products are affected?
Cabinet Controller c5x0
Cabinet Controller c750

Short-term measures:
There are three ways to temporarily fix the connection problem.

Option 1:
Disconnect the fieldbus module from the network and restart the controller. The connection via the engineering access should now be possible again. Change the Ip range of the fieldbus module so that it is not in the same subnet for engineering access.
Option 2:
Assign a different IP address range to the fieldbus module via the TIA Portal, which is not in the same subnet of the engineering access.
Option 3:
Connect to the PLC designer via the Profinet fieldbus module. To do this, add the controller under communication with the IP address of the fieldbus module as the active connection. Connect to the device and change the IP range of your fieldbus module.

Evaluation/ Recomendations:
It is recommended to operate the two networks in different subnets.
