Transmission error during application download via CAN 1 MBit/s (fixed from V15.01.01)

Corrected from:
  • 9400 Highline V15.01.01.00
  • 9400 Servo PLC V09.01.01.00
Response of the new version:
The application download is no longer aborted due to a file transfer error. The CAN block transfer also works with a baud rate of 1 MBit/s.

What happens?
An error occurs when transferring application data from the Engineering Tools Engineer, PLC Designer or Application Loader using the CAN block transfer. The download cannot be completed.

When does the behaviour occur?
The behaviour only occurs with a CAN transfer rate of 1 MBit/s.

Which products are affected?
  • 9400 Highline from V14.08.00 with a control card of revision 3 (C210/1 = 3x)
  • 9400 Servo PLC V08.08.00 (Rev3) with a control card of revision 3 (C210/1 = 3x)
Short-term measures:
  • Reduction of the baud rate for the application download to 500 kBit/s or less.
  • Use of an alternative communication path (diagnostics or Ethernet)

Evaluation / Recommendations:
This behavior can occur after the device has been replaced in an existing system. If the CAN connection is also used for remote access to the inverters, then no application download can be performed remotely after the device has been replaced.
