Corrected from:
- Ethernet POWERLINK MCI E84AYCEC V01.06.00 (8400 Stateline, HighLine, TopLine)
Response of the new version:
The faulty behaviour has been corrected.
What happens?
After initialising/starting the bus segment, the status of the Ethernet Powerlink control nodes (slaves) only changes with delay or does not change at all. The Ethernet Powerlink modules do not change, as provided for, to the 'Operational' state, and remain in the 'Preoperational' state. The bus status in indicated by the blinking bus status LED (for blinking pattern, see manual). With a delayed start, the status change to 'Operational' may take up to 1 minute.
When does this behaviour occur?
The problem occurs when using B&R Automation Studio version 4.X and higher. The error pattern depends on the number of nodes and the internal communication during start-up (cyclic, acyclic). The bus load leads to a high utilisation in the Ethernet Powerlink control node and thus impedes the required bus status change.
Which products are affected?
- Ethernet POWERLINK MCI E84AYCEC up to V01.05.00 (8400 Stateline, HighLine, TopLine)
