L_MC1P: Motor parameters changed online only become effective after reinitialisation (no correction planned)

Corrected from:
Library:   L_MC1P_MotionControlBasic  (FAST Motion)   (no alteration planned)
                 (contained in the PLC Designer)
Response of the new version:
No alteration of behaviour planned.

What happens?
Under certain conditions, the rated motor speed indicated by the ' L_MC1P_GetRatedVelocityAxis' FB does not correspond to the value actually set in the controller.

When does this behaviour occur?
The motor parameters are changed (online) during operation and the controller is not reinitialised.
Motor parameters changed online are only read from the controller and accepted in the axis reference (AxisRef) when the controller is initialised.

Which products are affected?
Library:   L_MC1P_MotionControlBasic  (FAST Motion)
                 (contained in the PLC Designer)

Short-term measures:
Activate re-initialisation of the axis, e.g. by:
  • executing the 'L_MC1P_ReInitNode()' FB or
  • program download or
  • generating a boot application and restarting the system afterwards
Evaluation/recommendations:
Since the motor parameters are usually not changed during normal machine operation, the described behaviour is not relevant for normal machine operation.
In general, the motor parameters are set during commissioning. If the described function restriction should be relevant in individual cases, please refer to the described remedy.
