L_ConvAP, LConvPP: Faulty remainder consideration

Corrected from:

  • Inverter Drives 8400 HighLine V16.00.00
  • Inverter Drives 8400 TopLine V16.00.00

Response of the new version:
Remainders are considered correctly, even with denominators >1.

What happens?
The output value of the conversion blocks drifts in one direction although the input value is only toggling around a constant, e.g. nMotorSpeedAct_v at standstill with resolver feedback.

When does this behaviour occur?

The behaviour occurs if the input value block is internally divided by a denominator other than 1. The following blocks are concerned: L_ConvAP and LConvPP.

Which products are affected?

  • Inverter Drives 8400 HighLine < V16.00.00
  • Inverter Drives 8400 TopLine < V16.00.00

Short-term measures:
Do not use the above blocks for conversions requiring a correct remainder consideration.

Evaluation/recommendations:
As a matter of principle, errors in the remainder consideration are difficult to detect because they will only lead to a position drift after longer periods of operation. If the above behaviour occurs, you have to expect errors during signal conditioning which may also influence the production quality of the machine function.
