Drift of the drive during operation in manual control mode when S-ramps are used (corrected from V9.1)

Eliminated from:
9300 position controller V9.1

Response of the new version?
If an internal minimum remainder of 1 increment in the set speed is pending in the S-profile generator the value for POS_Vset is once set to “zero” in the POS POU after two calculation cycles (2ms). As a result, it is changed over from an S-ramp to a linear ramp.
Therefore, the remainder cannot be considered correctly for the last positioning cycle (1ms).

Which products are affected?
9300 position controller with a firmware version < V9.1

What happens?
A safe standstill is prevented due to an inaccurate consideration of the remainder with very small acceleration values in the S-profile calculation at the end of the manual positioning when reaching the software limit position.
The drive drifts with minimal speed beyond the software limit position even if the manual control mode has been deactivated. If it is not changed to program operation or if the controller is not inhibited, the drive can even continue to drift until the position limit stop is reached.

When does the problem occur?
If the following basic conditions are met the faulty behaviour may occur:
-          Use of the manual control mode.
-          Activated S-ramps for manual control C1259/1 = 1 S-ramp.
-          Very small acceleration ramp.

Diagnostics options?
If the conditions mentioned before are met and the drive drifts away from the stopping position.

Short-term measures/recommendations?
Deactivate the S-ramp for manual control by setting “C1259/1 = 0 linear ramp”.

Evaluation:
The error occurs during commissioning already and can easily be avoided by not using S-ramps during manual control operation.
