EtherCAT cycle time setting > 10ms: i700 remains in the 'PreOp' EtherCAT status and does not change to 'Trouble' (corrected from V1.9.3)
Corrected from: - i700 servo inverter from V01.09.03.10964
Response of the new version: In the case of EtherCAT cycle time settings > 10ms, the controller will additionally respond with the device error 0xFF24. The error message can be reset immediately.
What happens?
The controller unexpectedly remains in the 'Pre-Operational' status and does not change to the 'Safe-Operational' status; the AL status code 0x36 is output.
This behaviour is, however, not indicated by a device status change or the output of a device error.
When does this behaviour occur?
The behaviour occurs if you try to operate the i700 servo inverter with an EtherCAT cycle time outside the permissible range.
Permissible cycle time range: 0.125...10 ms
Which products are affected?
- i700 servo inverter
Short-term measures:
Only select EtherCAT cycle times in the permissible range for the controller.
Evaluation/recommendations: See 'Short-term measures'.
