Eliminated from:
PLC Designer V3.6
Response of the new version:
Quick stop is only carried out as long as the xDriveStart input at the L_SMC_AxicBasicControl function block is FALSE.
What happens?
The xAxisEnabled output at the L_SMC_AxisBasicControl function block is blinking or the value at the output status of the MC_Power function block toggles.
A connected i700 servo inverter carries out a quick stop.
A connected 9400 servo inverter CiA is humming (is cyclically switched on and off).
When does this behaviour occur? The above-described behaviour occurs if a quick stop request (i.e. xDriveStart at MC_Power or L_SMC_AxisBasicControl) was cancelled again before the drive has reached the quick stop state.
Which products are affected?
PLC Designer V3.5.1 and higher
Short-term measures/recommendations:
If the function restriction occurs, the behaviour can be reset by setting the inputs xRegulatorOn and xDriveStart at the L_SMC_AxisBasicControl and the MC_Power function block to FALSE.
In order to avoid the function restriction, the quick stop request should be active for at least 4 PLC cycles when an i700 servo inverter is connected or for at least 6 PLC cycles when a 9400 servo inverter is connected.
Evaluation:
The function restriction occurs if the xDriveStart input of the L_SMC_AxisBasicControl or the MC_Power FB is only set to FALSE for a short time (for less than 4 PLC cycles). The above short-term measure describes a workaround for the function restriction.
