Response in the case of error (0x605E) to QSP with DC-injection braking: Overcurrent monitoring may respond (corrected from V01.6.3)

Corrected from:
- Servo-Inverter i700 V01.06.03.9953

Response of the new version:
When activating the DC injection braking function the overcurrent monitoring does not respond unexpected anymore.

What happens?
The overcurrent monitoring responds (error message no. 0x2340) because of a short-time excessive motor current above the current limit.
As a consequence, the controller is inhibited and the motor is no longer actively braked.

When does the problem occur?
The problem occurs when switching over to the DC-injection braking function, which can be activated as follows:

  • via Lenze statusword bit 6 (0x2830) or
  • automatically activated due to the error response of the encoder monitoring (e.g. open circuit in the encoder cable).
Precondition: 'Error response' parameter deviating from the Lenze setting is set to 0x605E = -2 (quick stop or DC-injection braking or short-circuit braking).

Which products are affected?
- i700 servo inverter ≤ V01.05.06.9665

Short-term measures/recommendations:
None.

Evaluation:
The behaviour after the response of the overcurrent monitoring corresponds to the behaviour in the case of Lenze setting 0x605E = 0 (controller inhibit).
